Moving is a major life transition, and one thing we always want to be honest about at Man and Dolly is that we know we’re not the only option available when it comes to moving services. There are many companies, solutions, and approaches people can choose from depending on their situation. Because of that reality—and because we genuinely care about helping people have a successful move—we’ve created a way to help guide you in the right direction even if you ultimately decide to go a different route.

Over the years, we’ve worked around many moving professionals and services and have seen firsthand which companies operate with professionalism, reliability, and care for their customers. We’ve also seen the opposite. Unfortunately, the moving industry can sometimes feel like jumping into a pool where it’s difficult to know which companies are trustworthy and which ones could potentially turn a move into a stressful experience.

To help people avoid that uncertainty, we offer a short consultation where we can answer your questions, learn about your move, and point you toward companies and services that have demonstrated consistent quality and professionalism. During this call we can share recommendations for moving companies (including two reputable local companies in the Austin area), storage facilities, portable storage container services, and LTL (Less-Than-Truckload) shipping companies.

Because we are not affiliates of these companies and do not receive commissions or financial incentives for recommending them, our guidance is based purely on real experience—companies we’ve worked alongside, seen in action, or heard consistent positive feedback about from customers and industry professionals.
